I was chuffed to be included at TEDxSouthBankWomen #positivedisruption this weekend. Spearheaded by Laura Stokes and hosted by Zan Rowe from Triple J Mornings, the event had brilliant speakers, but most impressive were all the ways the organizers involved the attendees: having advocates call each attendee, inviting participants to share a bucket list item in the art project “Before I Die…,” and allowing delegates an opportunity to pitch an idea of their own to the audience. Two winners were chosen by the audience, and given a Deloitte Innovation mentoring session to help make their proposal become a reality. The conference challenged all to “create a ripple to power the waves of change.”
